Welcome to Reviewing the Little Boot Icon, an unfortunately named series of reviews for Reboot-modified cards. Today's review: Jackson Howard, the best card in the entire game.

• Changes: Trash cost 3>2. Now encourages early runs more to try and trash him.

• Pros: Jackson is a very good card for many reasons, and using him properly is important if you want to get good at Corp decks other than YOLO GRNDL. Let me list some of these.

  • First of all, he is good for drawing lots of cards to get something you need urgently. Do not slot Anonymous Tip due to this.
  • Secondly, you can get agendas out of Archives by using his second ability.
  • The most common use of Jackson is probably installing him, drawing plenty of cards, and then discarding your agendas and shuffling them back in. This is called a Jackson flush.
  • Mr. Howard is also really good at blocking Noise: Hacker Extraordinaire from milling all your good cards.
  • Jackson is also good for shuffling back economy assets and operations. This reduces agenda density, and you can force the Runner to trash your PAD Campaigns all over again.
  • You can put him in a remote, where he looks like an agenda, and when the Runner decides not to jack out before accessing him, trigger ability #2. You can also do this in an uniced remote and hopefully make a Dirty Laundry whiff.
  • Only 1 influence, any deck can use him easily.

• Cons: Low trash cost means he will nearly always be trashed.

10/10 Pretty much every deck that isn't rushing super fast wants this guy.
