Reviews

Welcome to Reviewing the Little Boot Icon, an unfortunately named series of reviews for Reboot-modified cards. Today's review: Tyr's Hand, which is not as broken as its owner.

  • Changes: Rez cost 1>0.

  • Pros: Makes 2.0 bioroids unclickable, unless the Runner is on Early Bird or other -gain effects. Janus 1.0 also likes this a lot. You can hopefully stick some brain damage or get a Viktor 2.0 token. Trashing some programs with Ichi 2.0 is nice also. Good synergy with Midway Station Grid, an underplayed card, allowing you to punish Runners spending money on bioroids. Good against D4v1d and Always Be Running. Also funny against Sunny Lebeau: Security Specialist, making her spend the 2 again to break all the subroutines and possibly getting her to suboptimally trigger Security Nexus.

  • Cons: Token trash cost, only 1. One-time use only. 1.0 bioroids don't like this as much, as now the card just says "the Runner loses a " if they are trying to through. Anti-synergy with Heinlein Grid, as you want the Runner to try to through ice. If they have efficient breakers, this is just a 1 tax, you have to set it up with care.

5/10 Good as a Heinlein Grid at home. Very niche though.
