Welcome to Reviewing the Little Boot Icon, an unfortunately named series of reviews for Reboot-modified cards. Today's review: Peak Efficiency, which maybe was supposed to be a Foundry support card?
Changes: Play cost 1>0.
Pros: Late-game power econ card. You can get a lot of money from this, especially out of the second-tier HB IDs, like NEXT Design: Guarding the Net, Haas-Bioroid: Stronger Together, and The Foundry: Refining the Process. Only 1 influence. Free to play, so if you just spent a lot of money on ice to block a steal or Account Siphon, you can bounce back.
Cons: Requires you to have spent money on ice to get money. Most ice costs 2 or more to rez. HB has Haas-Bioroid: Engineering the Future to make money, as well as the Breaker Bay Grid-Eve Campaign-Adonis Campaign engine, not to mention Blue Level Clearance and Green Level Clearance, and Lateral Growth. Does nothing to get you out of the early game, when operations are best. For example, Hedge Fund in your starting hand with some ice makes it playable no matter what the rest is. This requires you to be able to play without it to play it.
5/10 I used to think this was underplayed, but this is actually super high variance.
