This card is bad. Here's why:

Let's say I secretly bid 2. The corp has an equal chance of guessing right or wrong.

If they guess right, your gain is -2.

If they guess wrong, your net gain is 2.

If we average that we will make an average of 0. This isn't worth the risk.

This card is fun. Here's why:

On the 50% of the time you get this to not take your money (I have yet to get this to happen of the three times I've used this card), You get a lot of money, assuming you spent a large portion. What makes this fun is that you don't know if this is going to happen.

So, how do you make this card even more fun?

1: Deboot it! (Play cost set back to 2. Additional text: "Gain 2." (triggers before bid). Now you get some extra bucks to play you Psi game.

2: Play it when your broke anyway: Dio's secret sauce.

My rating: 2/10 fun bad card.

This is the worst runner ID. Period. The only buff TheBigBoy was able to give him was +1 . Any other buff will make him broken. Making cards designed for him will likely be crappy or will make Leela Patel: Trained Pragmatist overpowered. Altering his minimum deck size to 40 is just ridiculous, as well as giving him 17 or more influence.

Why is he junk?

His ability is a red herring (No, not that card)

Fisk's ability is making R&D smaller and is flooding the corp, but the odds of them drawing Scorched Earth or economy cards is just too much of an advantage against you. To make his ability good, you have to first make the corp broke so they can't afford to play or rez the cards, forcing them to trash them at the end of the turn. Who knows? maybe they'll draw an agenda. Most of the time they'll score it so you're just giving them more points.

Making the corp draw cards: All or nothing

Making them draw just 1 card isn't always very good. You have to make them draw a lot with the aid of Eden Shard or Fisk Investment Seminar. there are other cards that help too, such as Woman in the Red Dress, but most are not efficient enough or are limit 1 per deck. What corp will choose to draw the card from WITRD unless they actually want it? FIS used to be limit 3 per deck, but then everyone would just use it with Leela.

He is the poorest criminal

He's supposed to be one of the richest men in the world, even owning his own corp, but he's broke almost all the time in the game. The reason why is because his ability doesn't give you any credits. Andy and Geist can draw money, Gabe, Ken, and Ian have money as an ability; Leela doesn't have money either, but her ability can slow down the corp. Silhouette is broke as well as Fisk. Since has weak card draw, it's difficult for Fisk to draw enough money. Expect him to be broke and have a hard time.

How can he be good?

Well, there's more bad to him than good. You don't get the benefits of other IDs like Gabe, Andy or Ken, but his ability can be useful under certain conditions.

1: When the corp is broke. This is just half of the good use of this ID. He can flood the corp with tons of agendas and other stuff that they can't afford. it'll just go in archives. Think of his ability as "Noise but you might access it while using Lamprey". You can also use his ability to increase accesses from HQ if the number of cards you access is greater than the number of cards that are actually in their hand. even though this is rare, it'll be helpful when it does happen.

2: Make the corp draw scorch when their rich. This is the best part of this ID. not only do they have fun for once, but now this torturous game is over. It also makes the stats more accurate for the Reboot ranked board.

So, how do you use Fisk?

Siphon Spam

This concept is the best type of deck to use with Fisk (according to some sources). You play Siphon over and over again and use Same Old Thing to recur them. Not only are you rich, but you're also making the corp broke, making your ability worthwhile.

Any other concepts are utter jank a majority of the time, such as my deck: nrdb.reteki.fun (Yes, Siphon Spam is the only good Fisk deck as far as my knowledge.)

Final Thoughts

I think the only ID that is similar in quality is Silhouette. Even she is better than Fisk. I think Fisk is the crappiest ID ever made. He shouldn't be good because his ability is just gross.

My Rating: 3/10. I think he's tier 5.

Note: This review is written from a Horde player. This is the only way I ever use this card and my deck runs HQ. Expect lots of things in review that won't be aplicable to other decks.

Human Rights Riot is absolutely insane. Whenever I use it I usually make ~3 with it and 3 extra cards in archives. Along with The Horde: Defiant Disenfrancistos, things will get really fun.

-Cost, Influence, and Deckbuilding-

With only 1 install cost, you can quickly install it and get lots of value from it. since you will have to pay money in the first place to trash a card, it's not as gross as it seems at first glance. The 4 influence basically makes this card say it's for only. When slotting this card, I suggest including only 1 copy because it's unique, unless you're playing some kind of jank.

-Using This card when it's on the table-

There's a lot you can do with this card.

1st: It triggers even if you're not running. This means you can stack it with Gang Sign & HQ Interface if you draw them. I have a Horde deck that can use this combo if it gets the pieces.

2nd: When running HQ, you can nuke it when using this. Slam down an Imp & HQ Interface and you'll know what I'm talking about (If you also use Glee things really go crazy). If only Gravedigger could benefit from this.

3rd: Use it with Edward Kim: Humanity's Hammer. When he's trashing those ops, HRR will turn on and have fun. I haven't personally used Kim with this card, so I don't know too much about it.

-Matchups That Hate This Card And The Decks That Use It-

Blue Sun: Powering the Future: Blue Sun is constantly bouncing their ice into HQ. if you trash it from there, they might slow down or collapse entirely. Getting in might be a challenge, but when you do this will make them miserable.

Cerebral Imaging: Infinite Frontiers: This is a speculation, because I rarely play against CI. I think that if you trash their combos and keep tempo they might run out of steam. I expect this is wrong but might be a decent guess.

Near-Earth Hub: Broadcast Center: NEH has to keep drawing cards to keep tempo. Most decks are flooded, too. If your trashing stuff from HQ they'll be very miserable (DRT NEH is already miserable most games anyway).

Scorched Earth: If it's in HQ it's going to die pretty fast. Where's that Jackson Howard?

And also any deck that has combo pieces in HQ.

-Final Thoughts-

I think that @ThebigBoy has done an excellent job making this card. It's very fun and doesn't ruin the meta. I hope TBB makes more cards like this in future packs.

My rating: 7/10. This card is tier 2 at the least.

Welcome to Reviewing the Little Boot Icon, an unfortunately named series of reviews for Reboot-modified cards. Today's review: Wotan, the biggest __bioroid_ ice in Reboot. Janus 1.0 has only 8 strength.

6/10 Really screws lots of Runners.

Crap, Woody was still logged in to RetekiDB when I wrote this.
—

This Identity is so ridiculously good. He used to have 15 influence, making him even worse. He's now reasonable in influence, but he's still really fun. I just love watching him installing viruses, trashing a couple (or even all!) of the cards in R&D.
